Flanagan’s Fields Music Festival 2018 A Huge Success.

On bank holiday Monday 4th June in Flanagan’s Fields Community Garden off Ruben Street here in the Dublin 8 area the free open air gig and free family fun day took place.  This event saw a large turnout from the locals living in and from the areas of Fatima. This large turnout has never seen before in any other community open days.

With the sun out in full force the gig opened up just before 4:pm with local girl Kelly Shannon opening for us once again.

Kelly was followed by MAD AB Slim a very inspiring rap and hip hop artists who originated from Finglas Dublin. After him came another rapper from Finglas Cale Smith. Then we had a double act known as Donna & Phil who gave us some decent covers from the likes of Johnny Cash to Richie Kavanagh plus originals. Then we had The Bounty who joined us from the Waterford and Cork areas and who kindly drove up to be with us on the day. Up next we had Daragh Graham who gave us a couple of covers. Then it was Motion Control who were headlining this years event. Motion Control rocked it giving us plenty of originals and one cover.

The very large turn out of local people were not only treated to this very unique open air show they were also treated to plenty of snacks and drinks while the adults had tea, coffee, cakes, sandwiches, etc all of the snacks, drinks etc where supplied complementary from local various business and community based groups. A full list of acknowledgments will follow on Prime Bling (PB) Your favorite online digital entertainment guide in the next few days. After the event had ended local children where given the opportunity to get on to the stage and bang away on the drums, play the keyboards, and sing a line or two. Who knows we could be seeing them in the future at our community gigs.
